Phone not turning on

[Android Question]

The blue light is very dim while on charger but the phone will not turn on. Brought it to a cellular store. They said it is dead and since it is out of contract they can't fix it under warranty. Any suggestions would be great!

It would help if you could tell us what phone you have? How lights behave, and what this means, varies between devices. Please post again with as much information as you can - don't worry about providing too much, as anything may turn out to be helpful.

Meanwhile, is it possible it just needs a new battery?
