phone only works in speaker phone mode

my phone will not work in regular phone mode it will only work when i turn the speaker on

So you can't hear anyone unless it's on speaker? Try re-starting the phone, turn off then back on. And it that doesn't remedy it, it may well be faulty.

Have you tried a battery pull or reboot? That's what I would try first. Failing that, you might have a dead speaker. I would take it back to where you bought it and have them look at it.
