Help Phone randomly stopped syncing emails

My phone just quit receiving Gmail yesterday. I just thought it was a little quiet, but when I went to my inbox and did a manual refresh, I had 16 messages.

I had been in and out of 3G coverage all day and on Wi-Fi networks 5 times...

I unchecked the "sync" icon on the settings widget, and it seems to be working OK now, but this hasn't ever happened on any of my other Android devices.

Anyone else have the same issue? Ideas for troubleshooting and/or fixing the problem? Thanks.

There is a known problem with Gmail. See the Google forum for the thread.

Bump.... dunno where the google forum thread is... I searched and no love, but this is a replacement device and I am having to check and uncheck the sync feature every couple of hours to get my email.


Anyone else having this problem? Any known fixes?
