Help Phone restarted and apps missing

Hi all, hoping someone can help.

Phone restarted itself while browsing and on starting some of my apps have gone.

I say gone it`s all the apps i had moved to the SD card. The data is still there just not showing on the apps screen.

SD card is fine, all photos and data seem to be there.

Anyone know what happened or what i can do to recover them?

Did you do any update on your phone recently?

Have you tried restarting your phone again?

What version of Android are you running?

PS. Although it works, running apps from the SDCard is never recommended. SDCard should just be for storage.
