Phone saying downloaded pdf files are corrupted

Hi,

When I download any pdf file, when my phone tries to open it automatically, it says that it can't open it because it is corrupted, however, when I go into my files, it opens fine. Any other file type is opened fine, it just doesn't work with pdfs which is very annoying. Any help would be much appreciated.

Do you have a app that opens .PDF files on your phone? If no then install drive PDF viewer from play store. It won't allow you to edit files but will if you want I only see them.
If that doesn't help then tell what message do you exactly get?

That's done the trick, thanks. I just assumed that because I could open them through my files that I had a pdf viewer installed.

Some file managers know how to preview a .pdf and others just try anything that looks at plain documents (and fails). Without a default app defined, you'll be up to the individual file manager's discretion.
