Phone seems to use a lot of data - when Im not using it ?

Hi,
I installed Net Counter and notice now that my phone seems to use a lot of data even when I'm not using it.

I know it checks email and does some background updating but now that I can see the usage, I'm wondering how much is normal?

For example, about every 8 hours it will use 3 or 4 MB without me even using it.

Is that normal? I hope so.

Try an app called 3 G watchdog net counter is terrible,also are you connecting to WIFI when available.

Ok, I'll try 3G Watchdog.

I don't use wifi and leave it turned off.

I also set ALL my apps NOT to update automatically.

I still get quite a bit of bandwidth usage for reasons I don't understand.
