Phone settings ..how to ...

Hi to all ..new to this ...on my phone ,when I open a text message that is a long one ..or one that has a picture in it ..I only have about 5 or 6 seconds to read it or look at the photo ..where do I change the time out settings ????..I have no clue ...thanks Bob G. ...

Welcome to Android. If you are referring to the screen going to sleep because of non screen responsiveness, then just go into your settings> display> screen timeout and change it to a longer period of time.

Hi thanks for your response ...but I have my screen time out set at 2min....I don;t think that does anything to reading e-mail or text messages ...at least on my phone ..I'm going to my Verizon store this afternoon to talk to them ..thanks again ..

have you tried swapping the screen back from left to right, right to left.
