Help Phone Shut Itself Off Now Random Reboots

I picked up my 1 month old G2 to check my emails only to find my fully charged phone had shut itself off. I tried to restart it with the power button and it would only vibrated but the screen did not turn on. I held the power button and volume up button at the same time for quite awhile to get it to restart but since it restarted it has randomly rebooted itself twice. Has anyone else experienced this?

I checked to see which apps had updated today and uninstalled Adobe Air since it just updated in case it could be the cause.

I am not rooted and I do not use any pass code or pattern on my lock screen.

i use to have an issue just similar to this with the galaxy s3.
come to find out it was a battery problem so i replaced it with a new one. no more random turning off.
