Help Phone shut off, wont turn back on. HELP!

Good Morning,

My friend's verizon galaxy s 3 shut off and will not reboot. It has a full battery and should have enough juice to boot up. He has never tried to root or anything like that, it's pure stock. We have removed the battery, wont card, and memory card and it still won't boot up. How can I get it running again? Any ideas?

Sometimes turning it on with the charger connected helps as the screen turns on and the phone is sort of "running" with the charger connected.

Doesn't work with the charger in it either. Doesn't even show that it is charging.

Try holding power, volume up and home. If it boots into recovery mode choose the reboot phone option from there.

Yeah, I just spoke with samsung support. The phone is toasted. He's going to get it replaced today. He's just worried verizon will give him a refurbished phone instead of a new phone.

If it comes fully boxed and sealed then it shouldn't be refurbished.
