Phone shuts off at 30% battery

As the title says, my Galaxy S5 shuts off at 30% battery. Can anyone help me figure out what is causing this? The battery is practicaly brand new, i replaced it back in Decmeber. I sure hope i didnt get a counterfiet battery. It works just find above 30% and while plugged in charging.

I bought the battery on Amazon. The orignal battery that came with the phone was not holding its charge for more than 2 hours.

i was unable to get a clear picture.

I did research online and my batter is in fact OEM, and not couterfiet.

However, i did get the battery wrapped only in anti-static plastic, and not a retail box.

Could i i had just about a 'bad' battery? And can i still find a retail boxed battery for the S5?

A few years ago I brought my wife a replacement battery for her note 2 I think it was barely two years old. The note 2 replacement battery was an official Samsung note 2 battery. She started using the replacement as the primary and the original as the back up. The original was lasting two hours and the replacement at first lasted 6-8 hrs, however after six months between both batteries she was barely getting 4-6 hrs.

i think i am going to search the internet for an OEM battery, in retail packing.

How long does a battery last if it was never used? The S5 is almost 4 years old. Will a battery still be good if never used?

Instead of keeping that, why don't you return it and get this one..with the one in question I get about 16 hours a day and consider I'm a very very very heavy user..
