Phone Storage and SD Card Issue

I have Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean phone. It has three type of storage.

1. Internal Memory (500 MB)

2. Phone Storage (1.83 GB)

3. SD Card (8 GB)

Earlier Apps were installed in Internal Memory and I had the option to move them to Phone Storage but not SD Card.

Recently my phone was flashed by the service center due to some software problem. After which I can move apps to SD Card and not Phone Storage.

Is it normal after flashing?

How much phone storage is available? More importantly, what phone do you have? If there is a root method for it you may consider rooting the device to gain better control over System, Data etc. folders. This would allow you to move apps wherever needed.

The Phone Storage is 1.83 GB. I can store files in it but cant move apps. Now I can only move apps in SD Card.

I am not sure about rooting the phone at the moment. It's still under warranty. My phone is Lava Iris 405.
