Hi,
Firstly would like to thank to the whole team who developed android n still making it better. I would like to suggest that at the time wen a person losses his phone or the phone is stolen, the first thing what the thief does is he switches off the phone. So you should add an update that without a password one will not be able to switch off the phone. Therefore it becomes a bit easier to locate a device with the help of the android manager or samsung find my mobile etc.
Hope u would like my suggession n try to implement it.

We aren't the developers of Android. We are just a group of enthusiasts helping each other with their devices. Google creates AOSP Android, and the various vendors create their skins and put out the phones. They would be the ones that could change Android out of the box.

Some 3rd party apps may also be able to do what you want, but I don't have experience with those.

Cerberus sort of has this option, you can block acces to the power menu when the screen is locked meaning that when the power button is pressed, all it does is turn the screen on and off.

Of course this doesn't stop someone from taking the battery out (if the device has a removable battery), but it does help.

You can also hide Cerberus so the thief can not easily determine that it is installed.

FWIW ... my recommendation to anyone getting a new phone ... the first app you should install is Cerberus.

Not always possible. For example, the Note 5, S6, S7, and relatives.
