Phone throatling

Well we now know Apple throttles phones with older batteries. I'm just wondering if Android does this too? I got my S6 when it first came out and it seems just as fast when I first bought it.

A lot of Android phone will go into a "power saving" mode when the voltage drops below a certain threshold.
