Sorry but I don't think this is possible yet. Their is currently no app I know of that will increase the size of the caller image. However hopefully Google will fix this in later issues. It's definitely a common question asked so hopefully Google is listening.

Tap Dialer gives you a nice big widget (you have a choice of 2) that doesn't take you right to the phone but will give you very easy access to your frequently called numbers - a must have while driving. I thought this was a silly app until I started playing with it and now it is one my "must have" list..
