phone won't connect to camera

I have a galaxy S2 LTE and I use the camera a lot. But all of a sudden today when I attempted to see a snapchat, it wouldn't load so I thought it was a glitch in snapchat and so I decided to wait it out. But then later tonight I received a few snapchats from my friends and I was able to access snapchat and see the pictures, but it wouldn't let me take pictures. I got a bit worried and went to my regular camera and it said that it couldn't connect to the camera. So now I'm worried anxious and confused as to what happened or what I might have accidentally done to cause this. Can you help?
 
Try clearing the data and cache.

Go to Settings 0 Apps, select the All tab. Go down to Camera, clear data and cache, then reboot the phone.
