Phone won't connect to my laptop via usb

I used to download songs on my phone and put then on my laptop via USB but now it won't work. I have tried a different USB port and a different cable. Please help me.

Dngrsone! That is a very basic thing, I think every mobile user can handle that. akaDominic the issue can be with the settings of your phone, try to install device drivers and then connect the phone with the laptop. Best of luck !

As you say, Chris.

From personal experience, however, I spent several hours trying to get my phone to cooperate with my laptop reliably before I figured out that basic thing.

It is possible that your phone is now for some reason registering as an installer or something else instead of basically as a media card. Check your notification bar for this.

1. Google USBDriver {yourdevicemodel}
2. Go to download links and download it
3. Install it manually using Device Manager or installer
4. On your device, Enable USB Debug
1. Go to About Tablet in settings app
2. Click on build number 7 times
3. Click on Developer Settings
4. Scroll down to USB Debugging
5. Tick it
