Hi,
I've recently run into an issue with my SGS2 where it will not reliably turn off. It will start the shutdown sequence, and gets almost all the way off. However, it get's "stuck" in a spot where just the soft key lights are on. And they stay on, there is no response from the power button or from pressing any of the soft keys.
The only way to resolve this is to remove the battery. If I don't notice this, it will chew through a full battery to empty in a matter of hours.
I suspect that there is some piece of software running in the background that it refusing to shut down completely, thus locking up the shutdown process. Is there any way to analyze this, or to turn on any logging? I have a stock device (not rooted), so I'm concerned that my options may be limited.
Anyone else run into a problem like this and have any advice?
Thanks
