Yeah sorry posted it on my phone, the basics though being that this method seems safer than jail breaking the phone?

Boot animations, on my note ii, if they are not the right size for the screen, the screen will stay black. Forwver, till you reflash a rom.

You can change the desc.txt file to make them say they are the right size, but this never works (well once) on my note ii. I see no reason for the mega to be diffrent.

You can change the img sizes manualy and this works, just be sure to pack the zip as store only for boot animations.

Boot animations use png or jpeg or bmp, png is the best, dont use compression.

Dont use transparencies. Ever. Will also lead to a black screen.

Backup your rom before trying any bew boot animation.

Apps:
Cpu master
Greenify
Xposed fraimwork

Xposed modules:
Xprivacy
Power full sound remover
Receiver stop

(Receivers are parts of apps like facebook that look for actions like scan media and then boot whwnwver that happens, you can stop that with reciver stop)

Xprivacy, sends spoofed random data to apps whwn they ask for it. Keep your contacts secret with xprivacy, along with your imei.

Ok if your rooted, use titanium backup and backup all user apps+data.

Then reflash the rom. Or flash if its the first time. Including wiping data first.

Then boot into rom. Which should also be rooted.
Install titanium backup.
Batch restore all user apps plus data.

Ok. I have the Mega 6.3 i527 (which I know from reading the thread that it's a different device than the one this was written for). I do have a question though and I'm hopeful someone can help.
my device is locked down with that obnoxious and irritating "Samsung Knox". I have tried nearly ever root method (via apps and programs) and still have not been successful in rooting my phone. Can anyone here point me in the right direction for a root method for my device that will not trip the Knox and require it to be sent to Samsung for "unauthorized software" or whatever it calls it?
Would a method such as this one work if I had the proper files for MY phone?
I paid good money for this thing and own it. I should be able to decide what I wanna do with it without Samsung monitoring and blocking my attempts to do so.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried using Kingo Root? If not, let me know and I'll walk you through it.

I've used Kingo to root/unroot my locked MetroPCS Galaxy Mega when I purchased the phone a year ago. I've since unlocked it and replaced the MetroPCS SIM card with one from AT&T and re-rooted the device to remove the MetroPCS bloatware.

Not sure what kind of issues you're having, but I'm happy to assist.
