Help phones not reading sims card

ihave a more model #009 IMEI: xxxxx. its unlocked. i'm trying to run ATT sims card sevice but phone cant read card. What can i do to fix this? data not provisioned was one error message

Hi there! I have edited out your IMEI, as it is not a good idea to share that with the whole world.

We do need more information to help you: What is the brand and model name of the phone? Like "Samsung Galaxy Nexus". Model #009 doesn't do much for me.

If the phone is not designed for AT&T, then the radios in the phone aren't tuned to AT&T's network and it won't work anyway. Once we have more information, though, we can better help you.
