Help photos all seem to have this issue

I took a bunch of candid shots today, and most of them had the issue you see below --- the legs look smaller/skinnier than they really are. Is there something I am doing wrong? Thank you in advance for your response!

That may be a Focal Length issue. The lens is closer to a wide angle lens than a telephoto lens. The legs are furher away than the head and thus appear 'smaller.' Try scrunching down a little to take the same picture, so the legs and head are the same distance from the camera. Of course this might develop a 'beer belly' on your subject.

I have been looking around the web, and it appears that you are right regarding the wide angle lens. If I am interpreting the other websites correctly, the problem is that I am standing too close. However, if I stand further away, then I would have to crop it in photoshop (which sucks, since I want to post them right away).

Supposing moving further away is the fix, would zooming in be ok, or would that cause the same problem to occur again?

I am also wondering if there is a system (amount of zoom, distance from the subject) that is ideal for this.

It appears either you are very tall, or standing on a step or two above your subject. You need to lower your camera height to minimize this effect.

Further away and zooming would help the distorted perspective, but it might also show increased pixelation in the snapshot.

Go to Samsungapps.com and install it.then install photo editor from the Samsung apps store.of course there are many other options for on phone editing as well
