Help Photos can't be viewed anywhere, new SD card

So, I got a new 64GB microSD for my phone. At first it was great, but now it's hell. I can play videos I've put on there just fine, but every single photo I take ends up with that triangle/exclamation point logo and won't open. When I transfer it to Google Drive or ANYWHERE ELSE, it gives me an error along the lines of "can't be viewed". The photos are in .jpg format and everything, do I just don't get it.

Any ideas? I have an HTC Desire 816 running 4.4.

I would suggest the SD is duff, or could be counterfeit. Where did you buy it? You could try formatting it, in case the file system is just corrupted.
