Help Photos finds system images

This issue is driving me mad. It's currently happening on a OnePlus 6t although my OnePlus 6, and Pixel 2 XL both did the same thing.

Once I restore from android backup, over the next few days Photos finds all device folders containing pictures.
It's listing Podcast Addict thumbnails, FB messenger "stickers", even some ad's.

On the OnePlus 6 the second restore seemed to fix the issue. Fighitng it again with OnePlus 6t.

Any idea's?

There should be a setting in your Gallery to turn that off.

I've combed over settings many times, which doesn't mean I'm not overlooking but, I can't find anything related to unwanted folders.
