Help Photos/Pictures not showing when I connect my Galaxy S8 to my computer

I'm sorry if this was already answered here or somewhere, but I didn't find an answer when I searched for it.

I have a lot of pictures/photos on my Galaxy S8 and when I connect it to my computer, only a couple are shown on the DCIM folder. No other folder shows my pictures.

I pretty new to the Android OS, so I have no idea if there's some setting on or something like this.

Can anybody please help me? :(

I'm going to suggest a slightly different approach to viewing your phone's photo library. Install and configure the Google Photos app on your phone. Google Photos can be used instead of the Gallery app as a photo manager but it also includes a very important function that runs automatically in the background, its Backup & Sync option. If you don't have any backup solution already setup, like Dropbox or OneDrive, you really, really should. Using Google Photos, your photo library gets automatically uploaded into your online Google account. You can then access your photo library on your computer by using a browser and going to:
https://photos.google.com
Also, if you go into your Google Drive app and open up its Settings menu, enable the 'Auto Add' option so your Google Photos library becomes fully accessible (as files as opposed to through the Google Photos web interface) in your online Google Drive.
