photos & videos question

does anyone have the slightest idea why when pulling photos and videos off of my camera, it rotates the photos 90 degrees counterclockwise and flips my videos upside down? The odd thing is, if I look at the photos/videos on the phone itself, they look fine.

each time I pull a photo or a video off the phone, I need to rotate these back to their correct display.

I have a sprint Galaxy s2 phone flashed to cricket. I have an android messaging app that works sometimes and when it does, it takes soooo long to download. Is there anything I can do to speed up the sending and recieving of messages?

I noticed this on ONE of my pictures. I am not sure, but I think I had the camera sideways when I took the Picture. I didn't pay too much attention to it, but now that you mention it, I notice.
