Nothing ventured , nothing gained.

I want to get in on making my own icons, wallpapers , etc. i had a trial version of CS5 and loved it ( I have GIMP but it just isn't coming natural to me ) , the CS5 software and I sort of hit it off. However i am not paying 100's of $$$ and definetely not 1000's of $$$ for software.

Any one have an old/er version PS they would donate ?

You could try purchasing the student version at some like AcademicSuperstore

You might have to be eligible though, I cannot remember.

You could also try Paint.net (it's a program).

I doubt anyone is going to give away a Photoshop license; the upgrade price is about $300 and the full price is $900. No one probably has "an older version to give away", since they probably upgraded instead of buying it again.
