pics being sent as video

When I send pictures to my daughters phone (Optimus LG) from my phone (Samsung Galaxy S2) she receives them as videos. How can I fix this issue?

Hi, and welcome.

Look at your camera app and make sure it is not set on video. Camera apps are all different, but on mine you tap the icon that looks like a camera, and four options pop up. One of them looks like a old movie camera, and if that is the one selected, it will be in video mode, even if you are only taking a one-frame video.

This is a known bug that has been around for years in mms on Android. There are reports that if you only send one photo at a time and attach the photo before typing the message, it will send as a photo.
