My girlfriend sent me a bunch of pics via txt msg. However, they are not downloading and opening up. My phone ia saying that they are downloading but they never complete. This seems to happen now and then, but I'm starting to see it more often. I tried WIFI and 4g and I tried turning off the phone and turning it back on. Still nothing.

Try going into the settings and clearing the data on your messages. It will reset the sounds but it's worked for me in the past. Then just let the phone sit for a little while - don't try to watch them download.

Are you looking in settings from the messaging app or from the full settings menu from your home screen?

Lol. Next:

From your main settings menu:
Applications > manage applications > see if the messaging app is in there

So strange that you can't clear the data. I know I had that problem too but I am on an HTC and I was able to clear the messaging cache and data which cleared it up. My only other suggestion would be to try deleting all the messages and have her send them again one at a time and don't open them until it shows they are done.

That I don't know - apparently its an issue with a couple of their phones though. Found this on a quick search:

In messages, open settings, acroll down to MMS settings and disable "auto receive"
Next, open an MMS message and click download. Brought the pic right up.

and this:

to send you need to activate data network mode (press and hold lock key to do that) have just found this out by accident lol but it def works as long as your settings are right

this also works to receive..if data network mode is activated and auto-retrieve is on your mms will download automatically
