Picture Messages

Does Google Voice allow to receive text messages with picture attachments or any file attachments?

I've been using it for texting but today someone sent me a text with a picture attached, I never received it. I do get plain text messages though.

If not, any way around it to work with GV (some other app)? I have the pay-as-you-go text plan with Verizon so would prefer to received all text through GV.

Well, after searching around, it seems you can't other then setting up certain contacts through shortcuts...
