Help Picture Recovery samsung 10.1

My wife was trying to do something on the tablet and ended up deleting all of the pictures on it. Is there any way to get them back? Keep in mind that the 10.1 does not have an SD card and from what i've read people have problems getting a computer to come up with the drive so that you can run some sort of recovery software to get them to show up.

It does not have USB Mass Storage mode, MTP only, meaning no software will recognize it to recover anything.

Unless, of course, there is some software that can do it on Android itself.

Hexamob finds the files but for some reason it will not recover them to the folder that it has set to recover to.
