I was wondering if there is an app that can be downloaded that allows pictures to be saved there and protected by a password.
 
Applock. It will allow you to pw protect any app from launching.

Tapatalk. Samsung Moment. Yep.
 
I use Photo Safe and like it. It's $1 for more than five photos, but works great.
