Pictures are missing! Pantech Crossover

After plugging in the phone to the computer and hitting the button that allows them to connect and share files, I can't find any folders. I got to the external sd card on the phone (through My Computer) but all it shows are some songs that were put on there. No system folders, or app folders... nothing. Trying to get my pictures onto my pc without emailing the several hundred to myself. Any ideas how I can locate them?

They may be in the internal memory. Look for a folder called DCIM, that's where the pics should be
