Help Pictures grayed out in gallery and Google photos

Luciacaps

Lurker
Hi all,

as I was scrolling through my pictures this morning I noticed that almost 2 weeks of pictures have been grayed out in the gallery of my Samsung Galaxy S8 plus. I checked Google Photos, thinking that they would still show up there, but the same happened. The weird thing is that before and after those 2 weeks all pictures appear normally. Can anyone help with this?

I have attached a screenshot of the grayed out pictures.

Thanks in advance!

Are these pictures correctly displayed when you open them to full size? Is it problem only with thumbnails?
Just a guess. Maybe there's not enough space on your memory and thumbnails cannot be created.
You could try to clear gallery cache and restart your phone.

Hi Maciek,

Thanks for your response. When opening the pictures they still show up grayed up. I just checked and there are more tha 20giga available on the phone.. I also tried to install different gallery apps, but the pictures still appear dark for those 2 weeks. No idea how this happened (and I am sure they looked fine a few days ago!).
