Pictures keep coming back after deleting

SquattyD

Lurker
Now before anyone tells me to just go search, I have searched my ass off and none of the fixes work. I have deleted all my pictures from Verizon cloud, I have deleted all my pictures from Google and turned sync off from picasa. When I go on picasa's actual website on my computer, it shows over 100 albums, but no pictures in any album. So there is no way for my phone to repopulate pictures from any cloud. Even after clearing the data and cache from gallery.

Other thing is that I am not able to move pictures from my phone to the SD card. Is this all possibly due to an issue with my SD card? I even have phone hooked into my computer and it won't save any changes I make to it.

Thanks, hopefully I can quit pulling the little bit of hair out that I have left!

Well, after removing my SD car and putting it in my computer, looks like my SD card is corrupted. Anyone know I'd I get a new SD card, if I put transfered pics from that card to a new one, would that corrupt the new one?

Check this how-to & read the accompanying notes below it:

If your SD card (external memory) is unreadable, corrupted, damaged, or has some kind of error you should first do a Check Disk within a MS Windows command prompt.
You need to eject (take out) your SD card from your device (phone, camera, etc) and insert it into your computer.

If you need a usb SD Card Reader they are cheap:
USA Amazon w/ free ship: http://goo.gl/PjOUOq
Canada Amazon w/ free ship: http://goo.gl/MNjIRU

Then to go a command prompt (click on start menu, then type in CMD in the in the search box)

Type: c
hkdsk /x /f e:
If above does not work then type "chkdsk e: /f"

The letter
E is my removable drive where my sd card is in. You may be in different drive ex., F, G?

After check disk is is complete chances are your back in biz. Make sure you copy all your stuff to a folder on your computer then format your card and move everything back. It may be wise to keep a copy on your computer too just in case.

Note: This will not work for all you you. If you get an error message from check disk with something about
RAW files then checkdisk will not work. However, you may try to eject and keep reinserting your sd card until it can read your card, meaning it wont say it is a RAW file. Small chance but it this has worked before. If this does not work you can look for programs that can retrieve this files that have been corrupted or even deleted or formatted. I don't recall the program i used last time for this but i got back like 80% of the videos and photos i had on the SD Card.

You should have the camera Default to save pictures on the extSDcard only.
not on the internal memory.

If you have 5.x the new system will not allow you to copy anything into any folder, that app did not create for itself.

You can copy out of the SDcard, but not into it.

Well, to give an update, since memory cards are so cheap, I just bought a new one. And even though I have the new 5.0 update, I was still able to create my own folders and move them where I wanted. And yes my camera pics are set to save on my SD card, but you can still create new folders under my files and shuffle pics around through there as well. I was able to save my old pics to my computer so all is not lost, just not on my phone anymore. So yeah SD card was bad, probably from a virus.
