Help Pictures seem to be multimedia??

Bittsen

Newbie
I am having a problem with my NEW S3. I have Tmobile.
I've only had it for a week.

When I first got it the pictures in text messages were fine but now the same sender(s) pictures end up as a 5 seconf multimedia file.

I can't zoom them or do anything to them.

And, when I take pictures, I no longer have the menu to send them. I have to copy them to the clipboard and then paste them into the message.

Any ideas?

Thanks

This^ is what I hate too...on iPhone a picture is a picture (zoomable) and a video is a video and so on.

So does that mean that this is an issue that can't be resolved?

It was working fine for the first two days. Then all of a sudden it started making the pictures multimedia.

I remember my old phone doing it for a while but it corrected itself.

There's a thread about this issue around here somewhere. I think that a temporary fix was to install a third party app like chomp sms.
Don't remember what cleared it up in the stock app.
Sorry

When a pic is sent with a caption/text, it sends it as MMS. Send a pic by itself, no text, it is sent as a pic.

Is this a new ICS thing or a Samsung thing? With my Incredible 2 it was not like this. Even with a Rooted ICS ROM running.

I am not 100% positive, but I believe it's a sammy thing. There are other threads on here discussing this in more detail.

I can't seem to find any threads on the subject.

I can't help but wonder if it's another thing Apple complained about and so they had to change it??

So this is my first time ever to participate in a forum, but I don't have time to look any further and I hope this wonderful community will be able to help me:) I just purchased a Samsung Galaxy SIII and I love it, but......I have received a few photos in text messages and I can't figure out how to save them to my device or sd card? Is there any guidance? Thanks in advance!

In the text thread, long press and hold the picture and select "copy attached to SD card" don't click on the picture to make it big as you cannot save it from there.
