pictures stretching when setting as wallpaper

Samsung Admire 3G, Metro PCS; Every time I save a picture as wallpaper, it is so stretched out of proportion that you can't tell what it is. How do I set the picture so it doesn't stretch the picture?

You need to use a photo editor to crop the photo so that the proportion between length and width matches that of your screen.

Your screen is 480 x 320 pixels which gives you a nice 1.5 proportion of width to length. Either resize and crop the picture to match these sizes or decide on a width and crop the length to be exactly 1.5 times that, e.g.:

Width 400 = Length 600 (600 / 400 = 1.5)
Width 100 = Length 150 (150 / 100 = 1.5)
