I have a lot of ebooks, and unfortunately their covers are being shown in my Gallery. Is there a good app out there to replace the Gallery that allows me to choose what folders I want shown? It is a bit annoying to be looking for a picture and have to wade through all my folders, seeing how more than 80% of them are from my ebook folder.

QickPic, free in Market can do this :)

I put a . in front of the folder names that I don't want to show in the gallery. The . makes the folder hidden.

You can also install quickpic. I hear that allows you to choose what folders are shown. I prefer the stock gallery because it's the only one that lets you rotate the pics with your fingers instead of having to use the menu.

if you put an empty file named .nomedia in the ebook folder, Android won't scan it for images and they won't be in the gallery. You could also install this app. StudioKUMA .nomedia Manager | AppBrain Android Market

+1 on quickpic. Way better than the stock gallery on any phone i have had. You can choose to hide whatever folder you dont want to look at

... Wow, I'm not used to forums that give so much helpful answers so quickly. I think I'm in love. Anyways, thank everyone, I'll try QuickPic and if I don't like that, I didn't know about the .nomedia file excluding it.

Someone posted a theory that the .nomedia can corrupt the gallery app.

Adding the . in front of the directory name doesn't.
