Pie for Nokia V2

Okay my pixel 3 was getting a little hot and the battery was about to run out. So I switched back over to my Nokia V2. I am expecting some important emails and calls don't want to miss them.
So I am on a call and the phone image symbol thing indicating a update is available to be installed appears at the top of my screen.
I pull down the notification tray
I see something about pie
I am like oh great I am getting 9.0.1 or 9.1.1 or pie 9. Something
I am on a call.
So I get done with the call and I go back to the pie update
I see pie 9.0
I already have 9.0
Then it Dawn's on me the pie update is for my Nokia V2
My $50 emergency replacement/back up phone is getting pie

I don't know, it seems that there are more than one version of Pie. I'm already at the second OTA update (the third if you take the first installation in account).
Well, boysenberry and apple are my favorites, but blueberry, cherry, rhubarb, and strawberry are good choices, too. :)

Okay bad news to report. I think the pie update killed my Nokia V2.
So yesterday I was using my pixel 3 when that thermostat symbol pops up and I get phone is getting warm, certain apps won't function as normal message or something like that.
So I am dealing with a variety of issues and need my phone.
So it was time to call in back up
The Nokia V2:thumbsupdroid:
I take the Sim card from the pixel insert it into the V2 power on the device. This would be my first red flag, the start up took an extremely long time.
So the phone finally starts
However I get the splash screen telling me that the sim card wasn't inserted right.
So I power off the phone
Pull the sim card reinsert it
Power phone on
Phone comes on
I get a white screen
I am waiting for the Google or Verizon logo to appear
Nothing:saddroid:
I turn the phone off.
I wait a few minutes
Turn the phone back on.
This time it goes through the boot up process rather quickly
I get the sim card is insert wrong page.
I go through taking the sim card out , putting it back in a dozen times.
Finally on attempt 13, 14 ???
It finally boots up
All the apps come up
I have a great signal strength:D.
And then the sim card message appears
No sim card detected.
So I go through the process again
Mean time I have my pixel in the refrigerator trying to cool it down
So finally I get the V2 to power on and restart.
Everything is looking good , everything is coming up all systems are a go , Houston we have lift off:)
Then I get a white screen
Houston: we might have a problem:thinking:
I try to power off
Phone won't turn off
Houston: yeah we do have a problem.
Finally I get the phone to turn off.
I get it turn back
Again I get the sim card error message.
I go into sitting and do a factory reset
Phone reboots and I get stuck on the Verizon splash page.
I sit the phone down and go do other stuff.
I come back an hour later
Same Verizon splash page with the Verizon logo
I press on the power button to turn it off
No response.
I keep pressing no response.
Finally it turns off.
I checked the sim card
Power it back on
Set up goes smoothly
Home screen comes up
And then as I am watching, the screen brightness control tool appears and the tool begins to lower the brightness.
I move the brightness back to where I want it
The phone started to lower it again:mad:
I turn the phone off
Reboot it
Phone comes on screen flashes this bright bluish white and the phone turns off:oops:
My first thought was the battery had died
But it had been in the 80% range.
I try connecting a charger (multiple chargers and USB cables) absolutely no further response
Phone won't turn back on.
Normally I would be :mad::(:maskeddroid::thumbsdowndroid::maddroid:
But I only paid $50-$52 with tax for it and didn't expect it to last long
Six months maybe a year
Going to have to get a new back up phone
