For security purposes, there is no backup for PIN, password or pattern unlock for an Android phone. If you forgot your PIN, you will have to reset the phone to out-of-the-box state using the data wipe / factory reset function in Recovery. This will delete all user data: apps, app data, call log, messages and settings will be lost.
From a power off condition, I understand there are 2 ways to access recovery on a Sony Xperia: either power it on and repeatedly press the Volume UP button until recovery starts; or tap the screen repeatedly as soon as the Sony logo appears. If those fail, try holding the Volume UP button and powering the device on at the same time. Use the Volume Down key to navigate to "factory reset" and either Volume Up or power to select it.
Sorry I don't have better news for you! Good news is that most apps will re-install once you log back into your Google account
