pioneer DEH-S4000bt will not show contacts from my huawei p smart

my car radio pioneer DEH-S4000bt will not show contacts from my huawei p smart although it will make calls to the on google call command yet phone book contacts remain blank. my last phone htc desire 620 had no problem so i am guessing it a phone concern.

is there a fix ?

Can you pair the device via Bluetooth?

Are you using Bluetooth? Check that you've got the Contact Sharing profile enabled in the Huawei's Paired Bluetooth Device settings. It might be off by default.

yes mikedt share contacts is on
