Pixel 2 Challenge/Issue

I have the Google Pixel 2
Somehow I changed something, I think it is an accessibility feature/tutorial.
With each keystroke a green box appears on my selection and requires the box to be double tapped.
It also seems a voice is guiding me through my selections.
I'm not sure how to deactivate this feature and get back to normal function.
Any assistance to correct this is appreciated.
Thank you

When you say "keystrokes" do you mean with the keyboard? If so, which keyboard app? It's possible that it's a keyboard setting rather than an accessibility one.

Have you touched the developer options? Some of them can produce visual overlays, though I've not met one that matches this description.

Try going into accessibility settings and disable <Talkback>
