Pixel 2: How to factory reset

If your Pixel 2 is misbehaving or you want to sell it to someone, a factory reset will erase everything and start from scratch. Before you do a factory reset, make sure all personal media is backed up.

1. Go to Settings > System
2. Select Reset
3. Select Factory data reset
4. Tap RESET PHONE
5. Enter password
6. Tap Erase everything

Be sure to follow these instructions rather than factory resetting through recovery so that you don't unwittingly activate Factory Reset Protection, which would force the next user to log in with your Google account before they could set up the device fresh.
