Pixel 2 Must have Apps?

Tacomann

Lurker
I upgrade about a week or so back and want to know what kind of apps you are using on your Pixel 2. Give me all of your favorites!!!

Same as my other favorites.

Apps I gotta have on any device I own:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.basevelocity.radarscope (bought it a long time ago, but I don't pay any of the subscription fees).

Also, a lot of the Google Apps:

  • WiFi
  • Home
  • Project Fi (since I use Fi),
  • Datally (since I am not on an unlimited plan like I was with VZW - although Google has now started offering a plan similar to unlimited, $80 / month for 6-15 GB, throttled after 15 unless you pay $10 / GB again for the overages)
  • Files Go
  • Trips
  • Voice (I kept my GV account with my main account and created a new account specifically for Fi - I can't use Voice to make calls, but I can still use SMS, and ppl can still call that number, I just see the VMs they leave)
  • Drive
  • Photoscan (really good for those old print photos, which most youngsters won't have many of, but I do).
  • Allo / Duo
  • Gboard
Other, non-Google Apps:
  • KeePass2Android
  • Phandroid forums app
  • Tapatalk
  • Open Signal
  • PayPal / PayPal Here / PayPal Business
  • eBay
  • SkyMap (the original, from Google, but then bought / sold to SkyMap team, which has a paid app called SkyMap+)
  • Microsoft Authenticator
  • Steam App (authenticator)
  • Blizzard Authenticator
  • RIFT Authenticator
  • UBISoft club
And one that is no longer available, but since I installed it when it was, I can still reinstall it: Andy-83 - the Ti-83 calculator (full ROM) on my phone.

(I'm still looking for a sure fire way to get the NSpire on my phone - I actually own both the 83 and the NSpire, but I haven't gotten a sure way to have the NSPire ROM working on Android thus far, else I would have ditched Andy-83 and used my NSpire instead....
