Pixel 2, Pixel 2XL Android Pie dark theme not working with live wallpaper

Hi Everyone.
I noticed that Google dark theme is not working for live papers in Android Pie. I have pixelscapes live wallpaper installed and dark theme enabled in settings but the theme is still light. Is anybody else seeing this problem or has a way to fix this??

Try setting a static image as your background, toggling the theme to light and back to dark, and then switching back to the live wallpaper.
