Pixel 2 XL: How to Hide Pictures

Hiding photos on your Android device can be a bit complicated, especially when it comes to the Pixel 2 XL. The quick and easy way to hide pictures from showing up in the default Pixel 2 XL gallery app -- Google Photos -- is by using the archive feature.

1. Open Google Photos
2. Long press on a photo or tap on more to select additional photos
3. Tap the 3-dot menu
4. Tap Delete from device (if the photo hasn't been backed up, tap Back up now before deleting from device)
5. Tap the 3-dot menu button again
6. Tap on on Archive

This method will delete the photo from your device, hide it from appearing in the main Google Photos feed, but still allow you to go into Google Photos > slide out navigation menu > Archive and few it later.
