Pixel 2 XL: How to turn off screen overlay

If an app's screen overlay is bothering you on the PIxel 2 XL, it's easy to turn it off. Here's how:
  1. Drag down the notification shade
  2. Expand the Android System notification
  3. Turn off "Allow display over other apps"
Keep in mind that this could interfere with how the specific app was intended to work, so use at your discretion.
