To activate Text to Speech on the Pixel 2 XL, just follow these simple steps:
- Open the Settings app
- Tap on Accessibility
- Tap on Select to speak and turn it ON > Ok
- Tap the accessibility button in the navigation bar to activate the floating widget
- Tap on any text on your screen to begin reading it aloud
- You can also long press to single out and select a chunk of text and have it read aloud
- You can also tap pause on the floating widget or stop to close it completely
