Whenever you get a new phone, one of the first things we all like to do is test out the front facing camera. Here's a few I took from the Pixel 2 XL -- regular, portrait, and beauty mode. Which do you think looks the best?

Ugh. Samsung phones used to be the only ones that posted images sideways. Now it's the Pixel 2. 😒

The selfie camera on my 2 XL is so good that I've realized I'm quite ugly.

The front facing portrait mode is really good. I was playing with it in a verizon store yesterday and it definitely out performed the sales person's note 8.

After seeing the sample shots of front facing portrait mode on the iPhone X, the Pixel 2 blows it out of the water. The iPhone seems to consistently blur hair and hats.
