Pixel 2 XL wifi calling

Anyone know if the Pixel 2 XL will support wifi calling and texting from day one, or will it need an update?

I would assume it would support it out of the box as the unlocked version. I think that's how it went for OG Pixel

I would assume it supports it as T-Mobile gives an incentive to people getting it.
