well apparently they are not allowing the pixel 4 to use the at&t visual voicemail as it has disappeared from my online accounts add on's page and it flat refuses to access it much less set it up. so I am trying the google voice approach I didn't set the voice up to use the calling feature all I wanted was the voicemail and gee wiz folks it works like a charm. just thought I would let you know in case someone else having same issue with att voicemail you have am sure many alternatives but I only use the google items seems other folks apps in play store are of the deceiving type anymore and I'd rather err on side of caution.
