Help Pixel 6 Pro and Android Auto issues

Porcucat

Lurker
My android auto connection randomly disconnects for no apparent reason when I'm connected via USB cable This occurs a new Ford sync 3 system and a newer KIA system

Bluetooth remains operational but of course USB provides better functionality
Updated cable but no joy. Also no problems with Samsung phones
Any ideas on what I must be missing,,,thanks

The disconnecting issue of the Android Auto app could be a result of the corrupt cache and data of the Android Auto app. Here, clearing the cache and data of the Android Auto app may solve the disconnection issue. Then confirm to stop the Android Auto app and open Storage.

First, your not alone. Many people are having issues connecting to their cars.
If Techno3433’s answer doesn't help, it might be your cable. From why I've read, the Pixel 6 Pro is very sensitive to cables when charging and connecting to cars. You have to use a quality cable. There are many cables that won't charge the phone as quickly as possible. The only cables I've used that work are by Anker. They're rated at 100 watts but I believe at least 30 watts are needed. Good luck.

I'd have to second the cable solution. Especially if you have your phone in a case, you need to make sure the cable is fully seated, and even then I've noticed that this phone can lose the connection if it's bumped or a little strain is placed on the cable.

Would that be the pre-March February delayed until June update? ;)

They say April 1st and Google has had the best update record of any phone I've ever used. So I guess the middle to end of April. (◔‿-)
Now they say June. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
